Owner of Margerum Wines, is a successful food and wine entrepreneur.

Margerum is credited with pioneering the uniqueness and quality of Santa Barbara food and wine. In 1981, the Margerums purchased the Wine Cask restaurant, then in 1984, Doug launched the Wine Cask Futures Program, which elevated the exposure of Santa Barbara wines to the national level. In 1994, Wine Cask earned the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award. 

Doug now focuses solely on wine production and distribution. Margerum Wines produces limited quantities of highly sought-after wines which are distributed at fine restaurants and grocers across the county.
