Several of Habra’s companies have been acquired; others have achieved series B and C funding levels. Habra was lead investor/interim CEO for TrackR (formerly Phone Halo) which raised $50MM through Amazon Ventures. Habra was involved in the launch and sale of SBClick, and the launch of First Click – still in operations.

Habra serves on several non-profit boards and was named Entrepreneur of the Year, SB Technology and Industry Association, 2016

JUSTIN BELLANTE

Bellante founded BioIQ in 2007 while studying for his doctorate. Since then, Justin has guided the development of BioIQ’s strategy and execution of its business plan. Justin has solidified corporate direction and strategic partnerships, developed the BioIQ wellness technology solution, and built a company culture that is passionate about healthcare innovation. BioQ enables health care organizations to connect seamlessly with their members. They can measure vital health metrics, allowing individuals to achieve health improvement goals.

Prior to BioIQ, Bellante developed novel materials and testing platforms for Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) Justin was a researcher in the Radiation and Reliability Physics organization at the Sandia National Laboratory and the Microfabrication Facility within Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). He has both a bachelor’s and master’s in materials engineering from CWRU and has published articles in scientific journals including  Science, Applied Physics Letters and MRS Proceedings.

JUSTIN & MINDY MAHY

The Mahys, active coworkers, hatched the idea for KOPU while on their honeymoon in New Zealand. Justin is a serial entrepreneur and former CEO and founder of the Local Television Network and founder of Dialedin. Mindy was previously a leading retail real estate broker in Manhattan, specializing in hospitality and fashion. The Mahy duo are active coworking members at Santa Barbara’s Impact Hub.

Plotagraph Founder Troy Christopher Plota is an Awarding winning Fashion and Advertising Photographer of 27 + years. He has shot clients Heidi Klum, PVH, Usher, Mariah Carey and for Vanity Fair, GQ and the Rolling Stone. Troy is also known for being on the cutting edge of Technology and he has spoken at TedTalks on “The Future of Photography”

Plotagraph partner Sascha Phoenix created the first online business to connect artists and gallery spaces. Sascha grew up in the film business and is the granddaughter of Late actor Roy Scheider, known for Jaws, French Connection & All That Jazz. Artist and Business major, Schneider studied in Florence, Italy for 4 years and speaks fluent Italian.

NIK KOYAMA

Since joining the coworking world, Koyama has gone from 1 to 6 employees in less than a year. Koyama began as an entrepreneur at the age of 15, shooting video for businesses. Koyama founded GoVisual, a 6-week online training program for business owners to use their smart phones to leverage video as a way to build business assets and attract the perfect customers.

MICHAEL SMITH

As principal at Ponvalley, Michael Smith invests in positive impact companies – businesses solving problems in the environment, water, food, shelter, education and well-being. Over his 20-year career, Smith has been an active investor/advisor to over 30 companies and funds, including Pinterest, SMS Assist, Lyft, Nebia and Rubicon Global. Michael is a co-founder of SustainSB and the Interim Chair of SharedMission.com. Smith is also active with the Bren School of UCSB and the United Nation’s Media Council on Social Impact.

ANGEL MARTINEZ

Martinez, former CEO and President of Deckers, has 40 years of brand building experience. Marinez serves on the Boards of AHA!, The Santa Barbara Foundation, SBIFF and Korn Ferry. Angel was Executive VP and CMO of Reebok International Ltd. and President and CEO of The Rockport Company. Martinez championed Reebok’s Human Rights programs and served on the Board of Advisors of the Human Rights Award. Martinez was honored for his work in 1997 with the Man of the Year award and again in 2011 as Person of the Year. A native of Cuba, Angel is a graduate of UC Davis, where he was an All-American in cross-country and track.

JENNY SCHATZLE

Schatzle, author, speaker, fearless female entrepreneur. Jenny has created a global movement and is on a mission to redefine how people look, feel, and talk about themselves. Through an authentic, positive community that supports and encourages people to move, love and listen to their bodies, Jenny has helped thousands of people change their lives. Jenny is the mother of twins and an active coworker.

MARINE SCHUMANN

Marine emigrated from France 5 years ago when she fell in love with the Santa Barbara eco-system. Schumann saw opportunity when she realized the local solar industry wasn’t as developed as the eco-conscious culture. Following her passion, Marine co-founded Brighten Solar which is now an industry leader with large residential and commercial clients such as Deckers, Starbucks and Airbus.

Prior to Brighten, Marine worked as a project manager, implementing the ISO 14001 sustainable certification throughout a network of 400+ hotels worldwide.  
 
In 2016, Brighten Solar received two major awards, the Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Outstanding Small Business award and the Pacific Coast Business Times Spirit of Small Business award. In 2017, Marine received the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) BRAVO Award, as an ‘Entrepreneur to Watch’.

HEATHER HOCHREIN

EVmatch aims to increase electric vehicle adoption and address harmful transportation emissions by rapidly increasing vehicle charging accessibility. Heather is deeply committed to creating an inclusive clean energy economy. She spent five years in leadership roles at Rising Sun Energy Center, a leading green workforce training organization based in Berkeley, California and is versed in energy policy and electric utilities from working with PG&E. Hochrein has a Master of Environmental Science & Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science, Molecular Environmental Biology from Berkeley.
